Common Fabrication Questions to Resolve

Relief geometry can be reviewed against the material, thickness, bend, and tooling before release.

Hole Positioning Issues

Hole-to-bend relationships can be flagged for customer review where deformation or tooling access may be a concern.

Overly Tight Tolerances

What file formats do you accept for review?

STEP, SolidWorks, DXF, DWG, IGES, Parasolid, and dimensioned PDF files are useful starting points. File usability and any conversion work are confirmed after review.

How long does a DFM review take?

Review timing depends on file quality, part count, assembly complexity, open requirements, and current workload. Include your required date so timing can be confirmed.

What cost savings can I expect from DFM?

DFM may identify opportunities involving material utilization, bend sequence, secondary operations, or tolerances, but savings are project-specific and are not guaranteed. Proposed changes require approval.

Do you provide engineering support for prototypes?

Can you help if I only have a sketch or concept?
