Scope

This policy applies to information collected through canadianmetalfab.com, including quote requests, CAD and drawing uploads, website analytics, and the attribution data associated with a request.

When you submit a quote request, you are asking Canadian Metal Fabricators Ltd. to use the information you provide to assess your project and respond to you.

Information we collect

Information you provide

Our quote forms may collect your name, business email, phone number, company, project details, and files such as CAD models, drawings, PDFs, and ZIP archives. We also receive information you send in later emails or calls.

Website and attribution information

Our site records a first-party session identifier, landing page, referring page, form source, buyer-intent category, campaign parameters, and advertising click identifiers when they are present. Browser storage is used to carry that context from a landing page to a quote request and to prevent the same successful quote conversion from being counted repeatedly.

Analytics information

Analytics and performance services may receive page URLs, approximate location derived from an IP address, browser and device information, referral data, and site interactions. The exact information available to these services depends on your browser settings and the tags active on the page.

How we use information

We use the information collected through the site to:

• review drawings and requirements, prepare a quote, and communicate about your project;
• route requests to the appropriate team and maintain a record of business correspondence;
• operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website and quote process; and
• understand which pages and advertising campaigns lead to quote requests.

Quote information is not used to add you to an unrelated marketing list through this form.

Service providers and processing

We use service providers to operate the website and deliver quote requests. They process information for those services under their own terms and privacy commitments:

• FormSubmit delivers quote information and attachments to our designated business inbox. Resend may be used as an alternate email delivery provider when it is configured.
• Vercel hosts the website, runs the quote endpoint, and provides performance measurement.
• Google Analytics and Google Ads provide site analytics, campaign attribution, conversion measurement, and, after an ad visit, may provide a temporary forwarding number and call metadata such as time, duration, answered state, country or area, campaign or ad group, and possibly the caller's phone number.
• Microsoft Clarity provides site interaction and usability analytics.

These providers may process information outside Canada. Their privacy information is available from FormSubmit, Resend, Vercel, Google, and Microsoft.

Advertising call measurement

After a visit from a Google ad, Google may temporarily replace the published phone number on this website with a Google forwarding number. This can help us understand whether an advertisement led to a genuine business enquiry.

Depending on the call and Google's available reporting, call measurement may include the call time, duration, whether the call was answered, the caller's country or area, the associated campaign or ad group, and possibly the caller's phone number. We use this information to evaluate enquiry quality and advertising performance.

Canadian Metal Fabricators keeps call recording disabled for this measurement. The website forwarding tag is not used to record or analyze call content. Any future call recording, transcription, or content analysis would require a separate review and an update to this policy before use.

Retention and security

We retain quote and correspondence information for as long as reasonably needed to assess the opportunity, manage a customer or supplier relationship, maintain business records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Retention can vary with the project and business relationship.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the information and the services involved. No internet or email transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your choices

You can block or clear browser storage and analytics technologies through your browser or applicable provider controls. Doing so may reduce attribution detail but does not prevent you from contacting us by phone or email.

You may ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, or request deletion where retention is not required for a business or legal reason. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
